Bringing Hope: School Supplies and Food Feeding for 150 Lagonglong Learners
Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental | May 25, 2025
On May 25, 2025, the spirit of service and unity shone brightly in the coastal community of Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental, as The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, through its Northern Mindanao Region, conducted a heartfelt outreach mission titled “Bringing Hope: School Supplies and Food Feeding for 150 Lagonglong Learners.” The event was organized by the compassionate hands of The Grand CdeO Eagles Club and The Grand CdeO Lady Eagles Group, who together worked tirelessly to extend assistance to the less fortunate children of the Lagonglong Seaside Village.
The event brought together Eagles members, volunteers, community leaders, and parents in a day filled with joy, hope, and giving. A total of 150 grade school students from underprivileged families received free school supplies—including notebooks, pencils, crayons, and bags—just in time for the upcoming academic year. The school kits were thoughtfully packed to encourage and motivate these young minds to pursue education with renewed confidence and enthusiasm.
In addition to the distribution of school supplies, the organizers also prepared a feeding program, providing the children with a hearty, nutritious meal. For many of them, it was not just food for the body but also nourishment for the soul—a rare treat that brought smiles and laughter to their faces. Volunteers ensured that each child was served with care, reinforcing the message that they are seen, valued, and supported by their community.
During the program, representatives from the Fraternal Order of Eagles expressed their heartfelt commitment to continue uplifting the lives of the less fortunate, especially children in rural and underserved areas. A short message from the Regional Officers emphasized that the outreach was not only about giving supplies but also about inspiring hope, fostering kindness, and building a culture of compassion among all sectors of society.
The Grand CdeO Eagles Club and The Grand CdeO Lady Eagles Group showcased the true essence of the Eagles' motto: “Service Through Strong Brotherhood.” Their collaboration, marked by unity, empathy, and shared purpose, served as a model for future initiatives.
As the event came to a close, the children waved goodbye with their new school supplies in hand and full stomachs—carrying not just the physical items they received but also the lasting memory of a day when the community came together for them. It was a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can spark a flame of hope in the hearts of the youth.
This meaningful event in Lagonglong is just one of the many ways the Fraternal Order of Eagles continues to make a difference, upholding its mission to serve and uplift Filipino communities through sincere and compassionate action.
