The Grand CdeO Eagles Club and The Grand CdeO Lady Eagles Group, a civic organization dedicated to community service and environmental protection, successfully held its "Tulong ng Agila para sa Kalikasan" (Help of the Eagles for Nature) project last Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.
The project focused on mangrove tree planting, an initiative crucial for the preservation of coastal ecosystems. Mangroves serve as natural barriers against storm surges and flooding, while also providing vital habitats for various marine life.
Members of The Grand CdeO Eagles Club, along with volunteers from the local community, joined forces to plant hundreds of mangrove seedlings along the coastline of Alubijid. The activity was not only beneficial for the environment but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and environmental awareness among the participants.
"We, at The Grand CdeO Eagles Club, believe that it is our responsibility to protect our environment," shared the club's president, Eagle Michael Andre S. Epondol. "This mangrove planting activity is just one of our many ways of giving back to our community and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come."
The "Tulong ng Agila para sa Kalikasan" project is a testament to The Grand CdeO Eagles Club's commitment to environmental stewardship. The club's efforts serve as an inspiration to other organizations and individuals to take action in protecting the Philippines' rich natural resources.
